Founded by Jesus over 2000 years ago and handed down through the centuries, the Catholic Church has impacted the lives of people around the world. The word "catholic" means universal, and while there are 1.2 billion Catholics in the world today there is still room for YOU because the Catholic Church is for everyone. If you are longing for beauty, truth, peace and joy, we welcome you to find it here in the Catholic Church. During your preparation to enter fully into the community of the Church you will develop a greater relationship with God, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit and discover the richness of the Catholic Faith. Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, who became man. He is our savior, he suffered death and rose from the dead, paying our debt for sin and giving us the gift of eternal life in him.
The OCIA or the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults is the process for becoming Catholic. To learn more about the OCIA Process and about the Catholic Church, please contact Wendy Osterberger at 563-556-7511 or dbq058FF@dbqarch.org.
