Welcome to Youth Ministry at The Church of the Resurrection!

The Church of the Resurrection’s youth ministry program is currently geared toward youth in grades 7-12 who attend both the Catholic and public schools that serve our parish. It is advised by the Youth Ministry Team and Pastoral Staff.

By being parishioners at the Church of the Resurrection, youth are already part of youth ministry!  Registration forms are provided to get email addresses and interests, but are not required to participate!  Youth ministry activities are promoted through the weekly church bulletin, youth ministry bulletin board (in the main entrance to the church), email updates, newsletters sent to all families with youth in grades 7-12, the parish web site, and by word of mouth.  For more information on youth ministry, contact Laurie Ready by email or phone (556-7511).

Resurrection Youth Ministry consists of the following programs:

Junior High Youth Ministry
Youth in grades 7 and 8, both public and Catholic school, are welcome to participate in Junior High Youth Ministry activities.

High School Youth Ministry
Youth in grades 9-12, both public and Catholic school, are welcome to participate in High School Youth Ministry activities.

Confirmation Program

In the Archdiocese of Dubuque, youth must be at least 15 years of age to be Confirmed.  Youth generally choose to participate in the Confirmation preparation program during their sophomore year of high school, culminating in the celebration of the Sacrament of Confirmation in the spring.

High School Faith Formation

All teens who haven't been Confirmed are welcome to participate in high school religious education classes.  Youth who attend public high schools must participate in religious education in 9th grade in order to enter the Confirmation preparation program during their sophomore year.
