Stewardship
Consider all the time, talent, and treasure we have in our lives and how we strive to hold onto it. Is it really ours? And if it is not ours, whose is it? There can be only one answer: It is God's. All the material, personal, and even intangible wealth in our lives comes from God. And God gives it to us not to keep, but to give.
Time and Talent
We have many gifts. As members of Resurrection we have a wealth of talent and time to share. God calls us to give these gifts to our faith first, before giving to anyone or anything else. Our lives become more meaningful when we do so.Consider how we spend our time and use our talent. How much of a reduction would we have to make in our current lifestyle, to make a positive impact on the life of another? The answer may surprise you. With over 5,000 registered households, an extra 1% of time and talent per week from each person will mean extra thousands of hours and immeasurable talent to carry out next year's programs successfully.

We are rich. As Americans, we expect and often achieve a standard of living that over 75% of the world's population will never experience. As a Catholic, we are part of a community collectively valued in the billions of dollars, one of the wealthiest denominations in history. However, over 60% of the Resurrection community gives less than $5 per week to the church, and the remaining 40% give on average just $20 per week.
