What did we discover in taking the steeple down? The floor of the steeple was rotted through on the south and east sides. The support beams on the sides of the steeple which are 41” thick had rotted to a depth of 2”. The engineers believe that, because it had gotten as far as it had, the leaking has been going on from the time of construction.
